25 ship-sinking survivors arrive in Manila
MANILA, Philippines - At least 25 survivors from the sinking of the "Princess of the Stars" sea vessel off Romblon last weekend have arrived in Manila and are resting at the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) office.
Radio dzBB’s Allan Gatus reported before dawn Tuesday that the survivors went through medical checkups and were brought to the PNRC hostel.
The report said five of the survivors wanted to go home and would get plane tickets from Sulpicio Lines, owner of the ill-fated vessel.
Sulpicio Lines now faces an investigation for the sinking of the vessel last Saturday.
